The rates are set by Student Life and are subject to Board of Trustee approval when the budgets are approved. As soon as the rates are approved, we will update the website. Please stay tuned!
Meal plans are available for both resident students and students living off campus.
Fall meal plans will start on August 16th at 7:00am for breakfast.
For incoming Freshman, the most popular meal plans are the Marble and the Marble Plus which both give the most access to Mines Market, our all-you-care-to-eat dining facility.
Here are the dates that Mines Market will be closed during 2019-2020 Academic Year:
Nov 28-30 closed
Dec 1 closed for breakfast but open for lunch & dinner
Dec 13-31 closed
January 1-5 closed
January 6 closed for breakfast but open for lunch & dinner
March 21-28 closed
March 29 closed for breakfast but open for lunch
Note: May 7th is the last day for spring 2020 meal plans
Meal plans can be changed during the first week of school by logging into Trailhead and going into the Housing Portal. After the first week of classes, meal plans cannot be changed until Spring semester.
Weekly meal plans reset on Saturdays at midnight. Weekly meal plans do not carry over from week to week.

Each meal plan comes with “Munch Money” which acts as campus dining cash and can be used at all dining locations on campus except for the student run Book & Brew in the Library.

Munch Money is only for each semester and does not carry over from semester to semester. 

Munch Money cannot be used to purchase non-food products in Elements, such as toiletries. Munch Money can be used for all food and beverage purchases on campus except for purchases at the Book & Brew in the Library.

Meal exchanges are only available with the Granite (resident) and Bronze (commuter) meal plans. Those cardholders may use up to 5 meal swipes per week, which otherwise would be used at Mines Market. Meal exchanges are accepted at Subconnection, Einstein's Wow Cafe and Habaneros. Each participating location has approximately 3-4 pre-selected combos for the meal exchange program.
Only the Agate and Double Agate meals carry over from Fall to Spring semester only. Meals do not carry over from Spring to Fall semester.
Starbucks is the only location that redeems gift cards on campus.
Yes, you can treat friends or family at any Mines Dining location using your Munch Money or using one of your guest meals at Mines Market. Your weekly meals are for your own use only.
A variety of campus dining options are available throughout the day. You may also get a to-go box at Mines Market.
Currently no dining locations deliver to campus however, online gift packages are available for delivery to student’s Residence Halls. Visit:
