For incoming Freshman, the most popular meal plans are the Marble and the Marble Plus which both give the most access to Mines Market, our all-you-care-to-eat dining facility.
Each meal plan comes with “Munch Money” which acts as campus dining cash and can be used at all dining locations on campus except for the student run Book & Brew in the Library.
Unused Munch Money on ALL meal plans (resident and commuter) will roll-over from Fall semester to Spring semester. Munch Money ends at the end of Spring semester and does not roll-over to Summer or Fall.
Munch Money cannot be used to purchase non-food products in Elements, such as toiletries. Munch Money can be used for all food and beverage purchases on campus except for purchases at the Book & Brew in the Library.
Meal exchanges are only available with the Marble, Marble Plus, Quartz and Quartz Plus resident meal plans and the Gold and Blue commuter meal plans. Those cardholders may use up to 5 meal swipes per week, which otherwise would be used at Mines Market. Meal Exchanges are accepted at Subconnection, Einstein's, Qdoba and Wow Café. Each participating location has approximately 3-4 pre-selected combos for the Meal Exchange program.
Yes, you can treat friends or family at any Mines Dining location using your Munch Money or using one of your guest meals at Mines Market. Your weekly meals are for your own use only.
